Sometimes being a hero looks a little different from what we see in the movies.

For kids and young people living with dysautonomia, there can be a lot to navigate that others don’t always see or understand. The Dysautonomia Hero was created to change some of that narrative, giving young people something that represents their world, celebrates the strength within them, and helps bring greater awareness and understanding of dysautonomia at the same time.

Designed by Indy May Designs, a young designer with their own lived experience of disability and dysautonomia, the Dysautonomia Hero was originally created in collaboration with Kylee & Co for the 2026 Ehlers-Danlos Society Global Learning Conference in Australia.
